The third annual conference of the Syrian Partnership for the Prevention of Armed Conflicts (SYRIAPPAC) was held online on Friday, May 26, 2020, for four and a half hours. The event was organized in collaboration with MENAPPAC & GPPAC and was attended by 22 participants representing:

• SYRIAPPAC partner organizations operating in the following geographical areas: Damascus, Rural Damascus, Homs, Hama, Latakia, Aleppo, Sweida, and Quneitra.

• Representatives of international donor institutions and embassies, including:

  • Ms. Ines Ben Karim, Advisor at the French Embassy in Lebanon.

  • Mr. Peter Nassif, Advisor at the German Embassy in Lebanon.

  • Ms. Alexandra Khazen, Regional Coordinator at the Euro-Mediterranean Foundation of Support to Human Rights Defenders (EMHRF).

  • Mr. Amro Daqmaq, Representative from the European Endowment for Democracy (EED).

  • Mr. Khaled Al-Imam, Chair of the Inter-Agency Network on Youth Development (IANYD) at the United Nations (UN).

  • Ms. Sherine Al-Jardi, Regional Coordinator at MENAPPAC.
